The Story of Bhanu Pratap Singh

This is Bhanu Pratap Singh Chauhan when we first met him in a train compartment to us he seemed like a normal child until the time he wanted to use the loo and his father got up from his seat to take him there as he couldn’t do it on his own.

That was the time his mother told us that his lower back is paralyzed and he cannot play, dance or walk on his own.

We spoke to them for the rest of the journey and found out that he has very few years in his hand as they have no money for his treatment.

After that our team came into action, we spoke to the doctors from each and every corner of city, talked to the administration and after the tedious process of 20 days.

*We were able to get his admission done in the AIIMS Delhi and the collector of Indore Mr Illayya Raja gave him a check for Rs 50 thousand for his wheel chair and tickets.*

The reason we are sharing this here is let all of you know ki agar kisi acche sankalp se aage badhne ke baare me socha jae toh raasta apne aap Banta chala jata hai.

We have arranged drawing classes for Bhanu as he is gifted with creativity and is in Delhi for his treatment at the moment.

A unique Birthday celebration at VSWS

A very unique Birthday Celebration took place at VSWS on June 7, 2022. Our volunteer, Anurag, decided to celebrate his birthday with the kids of our summer camp in the slums of Shanti Nagar. Children were really excited for an event including dance, balloons, chocolates, cakes, Maggie, games and a lot more. The kids were so happy that they very beautifully decorated the hall themselves for the celebration and welcomed us with open arms at the community hall. VSWS team with huge support from our volunteers Shivam, Nandika and Somitra, prepared Maggie, fruit juices and even distributed clothes to the young slum dwellers. This truly made the day cherishable for each one of us present
